They need water

For some reason, I've not watered the flowers in a week or so. I guess I thought... if I thought about it at all... since the mornings have been cool and damp the flowers were just fine. Not. When I sat down with a cup of coffee this morning and looked out the window, my beautiful yellow begonia was drooped over the pot. No, not frostbit but totally and thoroughly dry. It's a living breathing thing and I let it almost die of thirst. I watered everything. And cleaned the birdbath.

I don't understand morning glories. They are absolutely gorgeous right now, full and trailing. They seem to bloom late, July or so, but maybe it's the cooler days? I don't know but I want them where I can see them next year. They're behind the garage and only the neighbors across the alley and the trash men see them.

Across the street the roses are still blooming and tomatoes are still on the vines. A few more weeks of flowers, I hope. Enjoy.
